Bishop Dr. Linus Mwenda

Advisory Board Member

Bishop Dr Linus Mwenda Murianki served as the first Talento BOG Chairperson. He is a husband, father and grandfather. He is the lead pastor at the Deliverance Church Meru since 1987. He is also the Chair of the Oasis Pastors Network. His overall goal is to honor God, touch people and transform lives.

He is a student of leadership with a driving passion to identify, empower and network needy pastors especially in Africa. His primary mission is developing Great Leaders, Raising Healthy Families and Building Strong Churches. His compelling motto is, we’re saved to serve and blessed to be a blessing.

Justice Kiarie

Advisory Board Member

Hon. Justice Kiarie Waweru Kiarie is a Judge of the High Court of Kenya. He is husband to Dr. Dorcas Kiarie, a father and a grandfather. He is a focused, principled adjudicator, hardworking, smart worker, honest, a team player and uncompromising. His time consciousness stands out for decades, a value that

has earned him thumps up as well as criticism as “impatient.” Justice Kiarie received the most improved station award (2023) as well as award for best-performing station (2023). He has worked as a magistrate for 28 years and as a judge of the High Court for 10 years.

He is a born-again Christian driven by Biblical principles and work ethics. He was trained at the University of Nairobi and the Kenya School of Law. Internally, he has attended many seminars and short training courses. His focus is on achieving results, adhering to deadlines, and ensuring high-quality justice delivery. Hon. Justice Kiarie has been the head of stations for 36 years of his service at the judiciary. He makes his extra income as a large scale citrus farmer.

His hobbies are playing table tennis, squash, and scrabble. He is an avid bird and animal photographer. He is committed to taking long walks on a daily basis, doing an average of 11 km per day. Hon. Justice Kiarie is a people person and loves learning languages. He speaks English, Kiswahili, Kikuyu, Kalenjin-Keiyo, Nandi, Ekegusii and Dholuo.

Margret Wachira,

Advisory Board Member.

Margaret Wachira is a committed Christian, a long serving elder and board member at AGC Lakeview Academy in Nakuru Kenya. She served in the board of management in school for over 8 years. As a seasoned education professional with over 35 year experience in high school teaching, she has been involved in training students for local and international sports championships, prepared them for annual regional and national drama and music festivals in the school calendar, as well as annual science fair from zonal to national level. During her teaching career, Margaret played a key role in guidance and counseling program of the school. She enjoys teaching life skills in school and in the church community.

She is passionate in providing holistic child development, integrating academics, discipline and talent and character formation. She is determined to provide a fresh, objective perspective to Talento board.

Her life motto is: Always learning.

Mr. Fredrick Mukhwana,

Advisory Board Member.

Fredrick has passion for promoting the well-being of humanity especially children and enjoys championing professionalizing childcare in his country Uganda. He is a researcher, mentor, trainer, and child development specialist. He has 30 years of experience in program evaluation and management. Fredrick worked as a Program Director with Compassion International for 17 years.

He is involved in governance with a number of organizations as the chairman of Water School Uganda and Board Chair Children at Risk National Collaboration (CARNAC), a member of board of Global hands of Hope, Director for Life Song Uganda, former Board Member World Vision Uganda and Child Evangelism Fellowship. He is happily married to Christine who is a medical doctor and is blessed with two daughters.

Fredrick has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration and two Masters’ degrees in Child Development and Social Sector Planning and Management. He championed starting professional courses in training children and youth workers both in informal and formal training at Uganda Christian University, his current work station.


Stephen Appleton

Stephen Appleton itinerant preacher; revivalist; passionate follower of Jesus, called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to see lost souls saved, lives set free and sick healed. Elder & Lay Representative in Elim Pentecostal church, Scotland; loves visiting East Africa, serving church there. Previously trustee for different charities. Fractional Business Management; Leading Change; Changing Culture; Director, energetic, professional leader, natural businessman, strategic business advisor influencing, bringing positive change and joy to working environments. Service with integrity. Sustainable Soils Advocate; experienced, professional agronomist who’s passionate about achieving healthy crops with minimal chemical pesticides or synthetic fertilisers; utilising soil biology gaining impressive crop yields, enhanced plant health; tasty, nutritious produce with exceptional shelf life. Stephen’s experience & knowledge in looking after soils can improve so many of the world’s environmental problems. Provided plant nutrition advice to department managers at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Loves the outdoors; gardening, mountain walking, bird watching.

Pst. Dorcas Ogendi,

Advisory Board Member.

Dorcas Makunzo is a Quality and Sustainability Manager at Finlays Tea Extracts. She holds a BSc in Chemistry from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and an MBA in Strategic Management from Kenya Methodist University. She also has a Diploma in Transformational Church Leadership from Pan African Christian University.She is a wife and mother of three children.

Dorcas is deeply passionate about serving God and nurturing the next generation to grow in their faith and purpose. Guided by a strong spiritual foundation, she is committed to helping children and youth use their Godgiven talents for His glory. She believes that every young person carries

divine potential, dedicating her time to mentoring, encouraging, and creating spaces where they can grow spiritually, build confidence, and live out their calling. Her heart for ministry is rooted in compassion, leadership, and the desire to see young people transformed and grounded in God’s Word.
